Compassionate Use Program
At Attune Direct Care & Wellness, we offer thoughtful, physician-guided evaluation for patients who may benefit from low-dose THC Therapy under the Texas Compassionate Use Program.
This is not a "quick card" service. This is medical care focused on symptom relief, safety, and careful follow-up.
Visits are 100% virtual/telemedicine-only.

Who May Benefit?
Some Texans with qualifying conditions may be candidates for low-dose THC treatment, including patients dealing with:
-
Chronic pain
-
PTSD
-
Cancer-related symptoms
-
Autism
-
Certain neurological conditions (several types)
-
Crohn's disease/Ulcerative colitis
Eligibility is determined by Texas law and by physician judgement. In Texas, the physician must determine that the potential benefit is reasonable in light of potential risk.
What makes our approach different
We focus on:
-
Conservative, low-dose starting plans
-
Clear education and safety counseling
-
Personalized dosing, not one-size-fits-all recommendations
-
Follow-up to help adjust the plan based on your response
-
A whole-person approach that considers sleep, stress, pain, and overall function
-
Convenience. Visits are100% virtual through our HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform
How the Texas program works
Texas does not use a medical marijuana card in the way some other states do.
Instead:
-
You complete an evaluation with a qualified physician.
-
If appropriate, your physician enters the prescription into the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT).
-
You or your legal guardian then contact a licensed Texas dispensary to obtain the medication.
What low-dose THC means in Texas
Under current Texas law, low-THC cannabis is defined by a limit of 10 mg THC per dosage unit. Prescriptions are structured within a 90-day supply framework.
What to expect at your consultation
Your virtual visit includes:
-
Review of your medical history and current symptoms
-
Review of treatments you have already tried
-
Discussion of whether you may qualify under Texas law
-
Education about risks, side effects, and safe use
-
A personalized dosing plan if treatment is appropriate
-
Guidance on next steps for filling through a licensed dispensary
Important safety information
Low-dose THC is not right for everyone. Careful screening is especially important for patients with:
-
A history of psychosis
-
Certain substance use concerns
-
Significant dizziness or fall risk
-
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Other medical situations where added caution is needed
Possible side effects can include drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, impaired concentration, and anxiety at higher doses.
Our philosophy
We believe in starting low, going slowly, and treating the whole person. The goal is not simply to “get a prescription.” The goal is to improve function, comfort, and quality of life as safely as possible.
